Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
WordFinder: Pro Edition is provided by Julio Franco ("we," "us," or "our"). For privacy questions or requests, contact us at privacy@siggud.com.
This policy applies to the WordFinder: Pro Edition iOS and Android applications and describes the information processed through those applications. It does not automatically describe a separate website, advertising landing page, or other service unless that service links to and adopts this policy.
2. Information we process
The categories below describe the current app architecture and the third-party SDKs included in the release builds. Some categories are processed only if a feature is enabled, an ad is requested, a purchase is made, or the relevant provider automatically collects the information.
| Category | Examples | How it is used |
|---|---|---|
| Solver content | Letters, patterns, wildcard positions, Wordle-style puzzle state, board cells, rack letters, and result words. | Processed locally to provide solver results. We do not intentionally transmit this content in our custom analytics events. If you use a device share sheet, browser, app store, or another external service, that service may process what you choose to share. |
| App activity and engagement | Feature and mode used, whether a solve returned results, coarse letter count, app-open timing, local solve counters, and review-prompt timing. | To operate the app, decide when to show certain prompts or ads, measure broad feature usage, and improve reliability. Firebase Analytics is enabled independently of the advertising consent flow. Custom solve events use enumerations and counts rather than raw solver content. |
| Device, network, and advertising data | App and operating-system version, device model, app instance or advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location inferred by a provider, ad impressions, ad clicks, and related diagnostics. | Google Mobile Ads and related providers may automatically process this information to deliver, measure, limit, and protect advertising. The exact data depends on your device, region, consent choices, and provider settings. |
| Pseudonymous service identifiers | A Firebase anonymous user identifier, Firebase Analytics app-instance identifier, advertising identifiers where available, authentication tokens, app-configuration requests, and server request metadata. | To fetch remotely managed app configuration and, where enabled, support referral rewards. This is not an email-and-password account and we do not use it to ask for your name or email address. |
| Referral information, where enabled | Referral codes, a one-way hashed installation identifier, referral redemption status, and temporary ad-free reward status. | To create, redeem, prevent abuse of, and fulfill referral rewards in both the iOS and Android apps. |
| Purchases and entitlements | Subscription product, purchase state, transaction or purchase token, and whether ads-removal entitlement is active. | Apple and Google process payments through their store billing systems. We do not receive or store your full payment-card number. We use the purchase information needed to provide, restore, and manage the ads-removal entitlement. |
| Crash and technical diagnostics | Crash logs, stack traces, app version, device and operating-system information, and information about the circumstances of a failure. | To detect, diagnose, and fix crashes and other reliability problems. Firebase Crashlytics is enabled in the current production configurations. |
| Information you send us | Your email address, message, and any other information you include when contacting support or making a privacy request. | To respond to you, verify a request when reasonably necessary, maintain records of the request, and comply with law. |
Information we do not intentionally request
The apps do not request access to your precise location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, health data, or clipboard. We do not intentionally collect your browsing history, contact list, or the contents of other apps. Please do not include sensitive personal information in a support message or in solver input.
3. How we use information
We use information described above to:
- provide, maintain, secure, and improve the apps and their offline solver features;
- download or refresh app configuration and support feature availability;
- show and measure advertising, subject to applicable consent and device controls;
- process, restore, and administer optional ads-removal subscriptions;
- operate referral rewards when that feature is enabled;
- understand broad usage patterns without intentionally recording raw solver content;
- diagnose crashes, bugs, fraud, abuse, and security incidents; and
- comply with legal obligations, enforce our terms, and protect our rights and users.
4. Third-party services
We use service providers and platform services to operate the apps. These providers may process information under their own privacy policies and terms:
- Firebase, including Analytics, Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, and Crashlytics;
- Google, Google Mobile Ads, and Google User Messaging Platform for advertising, advertising choices, measurement, fraud prevention, and related SDK services;
- Apple for iOS distribution, StoreKit purchases, review prompts, and related platform services; and
- Google Play for Android distribution, Google Play Billing, review prompts, and related platform services.
We do not control how these providers process information outside our instructions. Their processing may include automatic collection such as IP address, device information, identifiers, app events, ad interactions, and diagnostics. Review their current privacy materials for details.
5. Advertising and analytics choices
WordFinder: Pro Edition may display banner or interstitial ads. Google Mobile Ads may use device or advertising identifiers, app and device information, IP address, approximate location, and ad interaction information to serve, measure, personalize, limit, or protect advertising. Ads may be non-personalized or personalized depending on your region, your choices, and applicable law.
Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) is used only for advertising privacy choices. It helps determine whether Google Mobile Ads may request ads and provides a privacy-options form where required. It does not pause or control Firebase Analytics in the current app. Firebase Analytics is enabled independently and may automatically collect standard app and technical events in addition to the coarse custom events described above.
You can also use your device’s advertising controls and the controls provided by the ad provider. Withdrawing advertising consent may not remove all ads; it may cause non-personalized ads to be shown instead.
6. Purchases
Optional subscriptions or other purchases are completed through Apple’s App Store or Google Play. The relevant store may process payment details, billing information, purchase history, and transaction information under its own terms. We receive or access only the information needed to confirm the purchase and provide or restore the associated entitlement. We do not store full payment-card details.
7. When we share information
We may disclose information:
- to the service providers listed in this policy, so they can provide analytics, advertising, authentication, cloud configuration, crash reporting, referral, billing, hosting, security, or support services;
- when you choose to share content through your device’s share sheet or open an external website, app store, or service;
- to comply with law, legal process, or a valid governmental request;
- to investigate fraud, abuse, security, or technical incidents; or
- in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to applicable legal requirements.
We do not sell your name, email address, or raw solver content. Advertising providers may receive device, identifier, usage, and ad-interaction information for advertising or measurement. Depending on the law that applies to you, that disclosure may be treated as targeted advertising, a “sale,” or “sharing,” even when no money is paid directly for the information. Use the available consent and advertising controls or contact us to exercise applicable opt-out rights.
8. Data retention
We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide the apps, operate entitlements or referrals, measure performance, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, comply with law, and enforce agreements. Retention varies by category and provider:
- solver inputs and results are intended to remain on your device for the current app session and local app operation; we do not intentionally retain them in our own server database;
- local counters, settings, cached configuration, and purchase or referral state remain on the device according to the device and app’s storage behavior;
- Firebase and advertising data are retained according to the configured service settings and the providers’ policies; aggregated or de-identified reports may be retained longer;
- server-side authentication, configuration, and referral records are retained while needed for those services, subject to legal and security retention requirements; and
- support records are retained for as long as needed to respond and protect legal rights.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information and risks involved. Service communications are intended to use encrypted connections such as HTTPS/TLS, but no device, network, or storage system is completely secure. Do not send secrets or sensitive information to us through the app.
10. International transfers
We and our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live, including the United States. When applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, we intend to use an adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses, or another legally recognized transfer mechanism. Contact us if you want more information about the safeguards applicable to your request.
11. Children
WordFinder: Pro Edition is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13 in the United States or the applicable minimum age in another jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us at privacy@siggud.com so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
12. Privacy choices and regional rights
WordFinder: Pro Edition does not offer user accounts or maintain a name-and-email user profile for app use. The app may still process pseudonymous technical data, such as service identifiers, advertising identifiers, IP address, app activity, and crash diagnostics. Some jurisdictions treat this type of information as personal data. Where applicable, you may have rights regarding information we control. Contact privacy@siggud.com with questions about this policy or the information processed through the app.
To request deletion of information we control, contact privacy@siggud.com. Because the app does not maintain a name-and-email account, we may be unable to associate a request with pseudonymous technical records.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our apps, providers, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy with a new “Last updated” date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice where required.
14. Third-party privacy resources
